I assure you that
I will be beneficial to the University in whatever ways I could. I will make sure that if I am provided with
an opportunity to pursue my M.S. program in the field of Supply Chain
Management, I would use this precious time to turn it into a fruitful one. All my ventures till now are a stepping stone
to achieve my dream. I am sure that UTD
will be the suitable platform to transform me into a professional in the field
I have chosen.
I firmly believe
that the University of Texas, Dallas is the right destination to transform my
dream into a reality. In 2017, UT
Dallas’ M.S. in Supply Chain Management has been ranked 3rd in the
U.S. and 26th worldwide. Also
UT Dallas’ M.S. in SCM has a seal of approval from the Institute for Supply
Management (ICM), the largest supply management association in the world. Adding to this, more than 40 companies hire
the students of SCM from your reputed institution. All these features attracted me to apply to
your esteemed university.
Doing a three
month internship at Ashok Leyland, Chennai, gave me an idea on how things are
managed at an R&D plant. At one
point I realised that managing the industry involves more attention and focus
than the processes done there. The
employees are helping me in every way they could. I also did an in plant training at Royal
Enfield, Chennai where I deciphered the managing tactics in a manufacturing
plant. I came to know how a HR team works.
I did my schooling
at Shrishti Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Vellore, Tamilnadu. I have been involved in lot of management
related activities there and been complimented and encouraged by my
teachers. Having done my undergraduate
degree in Automobile Engineering at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering,
Chennai (Affliliated to Anna University) which has a healthier reputation, my
interest and knowledge about automobiles have grown better. I attended a conference at Singapore along
with two of my friends, where our paper “CONTROL OF UNINTENDED ACCELERATION”
got published in the 2017 2nd IEEE International Conference on Intelligent
Transportation Engineering (ICITE). So I
wish to be a Supply Chain Manager at an automobile industry.
Management is the study about the in and out of goods and services, the
manufacturing process, final output and distribution of final products to the
customers. Pursuing M. S. in Supply
Chain Management would help me gain a copious experience in solving analytical
problems and mould me as an expert in handling Supply Chain. Adding to this, pursuing my M.S. in your
esteemed university would eminently give me a worldly exposure. I would get to meet a lot of people and learn
things in abundance.
I was in-charge of
my fellow mates for the tour arranged during the school period. Teachers appreciated me for the way I lead my
friends. I have been the class
representative during the third year of my college life, from where I learnt
how to handle people of different kinds.
Adding to this, I was the Team Manager for the motorsport division team
of our college “Team Traxion” during which I gained immense experience over a
wide variety of things. We participated
on the Formula Bharat 2018- A National level Engineering Design competition
that took place at Coimbatore. As a
manager, I was able to oversee the material handling and work along with and
manage a team.
Everything in this
world needs a proper management. We sail
in the right path only if we manage things in an efficient and an astute
manner. This motivated me to take up the
Supply Chain Management with undivided
attention. Right from my childhood, I am
captivated by my father for what he does in his Retail Store and how things are
managed there. I keep myself engaged on
the works of the store whenever I go home for holidays. This involvement further triggered my
interest towards management. As a child
I always wanted to lead a company/firm and I am proud that the thought still
persists and I am movingmakes me move
closer towards it.
