Personal project mind mapTopicCreating a doodle book.GoalMy goal is to coordinate a research on what do people do when they feel a certain way. i will then introduce them to doodling. It  can respond to any kind of emotion, which is why it is a good thing. I am going to design a book that helps, and teaches people how to doodle, so that they can learn how to show their feelings or emotions in a new different way.Prior learning One thing that i ask myself is that what do i know about doodling, and what do i still need to know about doodling. To doodle is to draw or scribble. A lot of people draw, scribble and doodle without knowing that they are. It is something that every human has the ability to do as you can draw anything. They are different kinds of doodling, but the one i am going to focus more on is the face doodling/ emotion doodling. This one is where you doodle different kinds of emotions, and even make up your own by just combining different eyes, and lips. It is a very fun thing to do, and it does not choose whether you are young or old, male or female. It accommodates any age and any gender. Global context Personal and cultural expression(“Students will explore identity; beliefs and values; personal, physical, mental, social and spiritual health; human relationships including families, friends, communities and cultures; what it means to be human.”)I chose this global context because it is connected to people, and my idea is connected to people also since it is about helping them. I will ask people what they think is the best way for them to destress, and let the emotions out, then i’ll introduce them to doodling. The dictionary describes doodling as scribble absent-mindedly, but in my definition it is a way of expressing your feelings through pictures. The reason why i am describing it like this is because through doodling you can show your emotions with different drawings. What i want to achieve is to show people the other side of doodling, and that behind every doodle there is a message and a feeling. Doodling does not always have to perfect, because everyone has different meanings of perfect. I would like for those who do not know how to express their feelings to read and practise the work of my book, because i will be teaching them how to doodle and they will also be learn9ing a new skill that they themselves can also take home and teach others. I want others to understand how fun doodling can be and how it can also help in many different ways. I would like my project to have an impact on other people’s lives, because it can help them to show their emotions. This is a skill that you can have for life. Artistry, craft, creation, beautyThe exploration that i chose is “artistry, craft, reaction,beauty.”. I chose this exploration because it describes what my project is about. Artistry is creative skill or ability. Which is what my book needs. In needs creativity, so that it does not only teach people how to do but also when they see my book they would want to see what is inside. Craft is a activity involving skill in making things by hand. Most of my doodles are going to be made by hand, because it is easier that way than making it on a computer. But if you are a professional or you are very good you can use a computer, but i prefer hand which is why i am going to draw my doodles for my book by hand.Creation is Clarifying my goalS (specific)what?where?how?I am going to create a doodle book. I am going to create it myself, then make copies for people. And it is going to be for everyone who wishes to doodle.M (measurable)from-ToI started December 2017 and i am going to finish August 2018. A (assignable)who? My final product is going to accommodate everyone, because it is not age or gender specific. R (realistic)My goal is realistic, because i have all the materials i need as to making the book, and everything is going to work well. T (time-based)whenThe time that i have is enough, because counting from the beginning, i have 9 months to finish my final product, which is just fine for me.
