Task 1 For thefirst task for this assignment I will be talking about an ongoing high-rise constructionin London, also I will be identifying the structure in term of its use and itslocation. In addition to that I will be talking about the key features of mychosen site and the constraints that might have to be taken in consideration. Thelast part that I will be talking about is the location of the crane, and thetype of material that is used for the structural frame and lastly, I will beanalysing the reasons for the choice of the structural frame. The locationof my choice is Dickens Yard, because I have already visited it and I know alittle bit more about it. Dickens yard is a residential set of buildings thatare classy blend of older, modern and futuristic buildings.
Dickens Yard issituated in closeness to Ealing Broadway Station, and it is expected to benefitfrom the up and coming Crossrail which it is called Elizabeth Line. Furthermore, the centrepiece of Dickens Yard is its exquisite private spa. Highlighting aprofessionally prepared, best in the class gym, swimming pool, extravagancesauna, steam room and individual treatment room, it gives a quiet sanctuarywhere occupants can unwind, exercise and escapes the many requests and weightsof their busy lives.Site Plan the beginning of the project picture Constructionthe activityat first began with the development of a 12-story high slip shape centre.
Because of restrictions on the location coordination, concrete was provided andscattered by the static pump inside a live segment of a current storm cellar toa holding up skip. Working allthe while with the slip shape construction was the finish of a double basementsize dig by long reach machines. ConstraintsSafety and wellbeingremains a continuous worry for most development administrators. Development bynature is characteristically hazardous, with a high level of danger and hazard.
The toll of construction accident is high as far for both costs (£) and humanenduring. Accidents include the huge weight of unnecessary and avoidable cost. But by thefollowing actions and safety measures accidents are reduced to a safe level.
Both visitorsand workers must have PPE on at all times in the site. the project management faces many difficulties, these difficulties can affectextend achievement. project management must be distinctly mindful of thedangers and risks of these difficulties. The difficulties recorded in thisreport incorporate circumstances and conditions that must be proactivelyoverseen by the project management to guarantee to project success. Aconsiderable lot of these difficulties are an immediate aftereffect ofdevelopment operations, while others are a consequence of circuitous, fringeexercises. construction issues incorporate workforce, safety and timeconstraints.
Cranelocation The location of the tower crane was outside the floor plan which it wasnext to Christ is the Saviour Parish Church, the reason why the crane wasoutside is because from that position it easier to supply the needed materials andin addition to that it will have a great view from the crane operator’s cabin. whichit helps to speed the work up and provide more safety for the workers. Materials usedA lot of mertials were used for this project such as concrete, steel andthey also used fabric to create nets to protect the suroundings from dust. The frameof these buildings were made of concrete, these frames were bought ready andthey had to do was to put them in the right places.
Concrete frames werethe most suitable for this project because concrete requires no extrainsulating treatment to meet stringent fire codes and performs well in case ofa natural or manmade disaster. Because of concrete characteristics weight, mass, and quality, structures developed with the cast set up. The reinforcedconcrete frame can oppose winds of more than 200 miles per hour.Task 2
