God gave Solomon more than he asked for; he gave him riches and honor. With the newfound wisdom, he was able to build a temple in Jerusalem. His pride slowly overtook his growth in the Lord. Solomon ended up relying on his riches than the wisdom God had anointed on him, leading him to engage in ungodly activities.
