What is confidence?Confidence is the ability to have assurance in someone or something. It is the state of feeling certain about the truthof something.Confidence allows you to know that you know that you know that any and everything is possible. Confidenceequates itself into trust, for when you trust, you have more faith and comfort in all relationships.Confidence comes from the Latin term confidentia or confidentem meaning “to firmly trust and to be bold” and alsoformed by the word confidere meaning “to have full trust or reliance” In Hebrew (ba Tach) meaning “to be open”and “to trust”.Confidence is the I Can in our Christian walk, being an important factor regarding our most intimate relationshipwith the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) which motivates us to release all of life’s challenges into the handsof the one who created us.But we must truly understand that if we place such trust or confidence in the hand of man we will surely fail.Psalm 118:8″It is better to put your trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man”In otherward do not be fooled by your own abilities because you were not created by your own handJeremiah 17:7″But Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.Confidence can lead you in two distinct paths 1. The false security that can be found in one’s self or 2. The resultsof abiding in the loving arms of Godhead. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy SpiritWhere does confidence come from?Through Gods word we must also know and understand that true confidence is not something in which we canobtain on our ownConfidence is instilled in us once we surrender ourselves unto The Holy Spirit. For He leads us into a true andgenuine understanding of where and whom we should place our trust.Ephesian 1:13-14In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation– having also believed, youwere sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to theredemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.Exemplifying that every word is true, for it embraces and instructs us in the most important truths, which areconfirmed and draped by the finalized word of God; in which we should take hold of for ourselves in all ourpursuits for Godly wisdom. In the song “Blessed Assurance” we come into a knowledge of divine appreciation of our relationship with Jesus.Knowing we have that promise of who he is and except His desire to be all-in all in our life. Why is Confidence important?Confidence overcomes fear, which allows us to concentrate on that which is positive and not the negative aspects ofour lives.Hebrews 4:16Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help intime of need.Confidence becomes a way of living; A life style unto righteousness and the way of communication with the HolySpirit who takes you to a further relationship with Christ Jesus. This type of confidence is overflowing, is contagious, forever moving and can’t be contained only unto one’s self.Due to it continuous development it shows others that it is not only restricted to you but is available to all thatbelieve.Philippians 1:6And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.Confidence gives us the courage to move forward and is a product of our belief system, while being a distinct formof all certainty. It creates fearlessness within you to know that you are more a conquer and carries a reliance that you are no alonewhile giving you the heart to expect the assurance of the Father’s love through faith. So “The Greatest Confidence Is Not for You Alone” but through Him who died for us all and has risen and willreturn.1 Peter 1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten usagain unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.Hallelujah!!
